The keyboard is a very essential part of computer. It is a hardware that enables you to input by typing and giving command.

Despite of using it on daily purpose there are still certain hidden features  which very few of them might know.

The folLowing are the keyboard hidden features that likely to surprise you.

High contrast

If you witness your screen is not readable as you have hoped,there is a way that you can turn on your high contrast.

you can use a combination of keys to apply a special system colour scheme that will help you read screen better.

To use this application

Simply press Shift+alt+print

If you don’t like the appearance of the screen once you have turned this on,you would simply go to the “Ease of Access” Center to disable the keyboard shortcut.

Rotate the screen

There is not much use to the screen except the practical joke on a person using your computer joke.if you want to totally freak out your friend rotating a screen is relatively simple.

It just takes one simple command on your keyboard or Ctrl+Alt with up slash or down slash or left slash or right slash to rotate.

Unfortunately this trick does not work on every computer.It all depends on the systems graphic card and video driver.

Easily switch between open windows.

If you have several open windows and you want switch from one program to another program quickly,there is a little trick you might not know.All you need to do is hold Alt+Tab and you can move quickly through the applications.

Delete without confirmation.

It is really annoying when trying to delete something on your computer and it asks “Are you sure you want to delete these 7 items?”.Well it’s very uncommon to accidentally delete something so why be asked every single time,right?

To skip this annoying step just press Shift+delete.That shortcut can save you great deal of time.

Show Desktop/restore open windows.

When you are working on the computer you do not need to move your mouse in bottom right corner of the screen.If you press “windows key + D” it will show your whole desktop and again press same command to restore the screen.

Lock system

If you are walking away from your computer for a while, it’s a good idea to lock the system.Most people believe this means logging out of the system and when you come back you need to log in which can be annoying.

To make it easier all you need to do is press “Windows + L” that will the system and when you comeback everything will be same as you left.

Instant Administrator access.

If you are not the administrator on the computer but you need administrators access to run a command it’s possible to do and very simple.

The chain of commands might be complex however if you do it right you are in.The command goes as follows

Windows key+R then type “cnd”  hold Ctrl +Shift and Enter.

If you are using windows 10 this might not work.The updates makes computers more secure so whether or not tricks works depends on your operating system.

Shut down the computer.

Due to some reason your mouse is not working and you need to shut down your computer or do anything in menu.You can do by your keyboard by entering a few simple commands.

If you press “windows key +X” it will open quick access menu

If you follow “I” it will sign you out.

If you press “U” it will shut the computer down.

If you press “H” it will hybrinate.

If you press “R” it will restart the computer.

If you press”S” it will put your computer to sleep.

It will help you to command your computer right from the keyboard.

The function keys.

There are Twelve function keys on your computer keyboard and each of them provide Hidden features in your keyboard.The trick goes as follows

F1 –  Universal shortcut for help

F2- Universal edit key.

F3 – It allows you to search specific files and folders on your computer.

F4- A great escape key.

F5- automatic refresh.

F6- Tab key to toggle between desktop files ,task bar and system tray icons.

F7- This key does not have any use in windows but it is very useful on Mozilla Firefox.

F8- Engages the windows boost process.

F9- If you “Ctrl +F9” you can compile and run code.

F10- shows the menu bar in Firefox.

F11- opens the full screen mode.

F12- instantly opens the save as mode.
